The base of this organic tea is a hybrid of the Thea Assam and Sinensis shrubs.  Assam teas are usually grown in India but with the idea of growing "dark" teas in Japan has been wildly successful with this harvest.  The leaves are flat with a deep black appearance and reddish cup when brewed.  Nuance of ripe plums and delicate sweetness linger.

• Use 1 tsp per 6 oz cup, heat water to 180 ° let steep for 1-3 minutes depending on your taste.
